The Synchronary of the 13 Moons: a guide to steer our daily lives towards personal evolution.

The calendar (or more precisely, the synchrometer) of the 13 moons is made up of 20 symbols and 13 frequencies that combine with one another, for a total of 260 days. This 260-day measure of time, contained within the solar year, is a cycle considered sacred by the Maya (called Tzolkin), and interestingly, it corresponds to the duration of pregnancy. However, it’s important to point out that the Synchrometer has nothing to do with the traditional Maya calendar.

Earth

Earth teaches us to let go of control and to trust. Letting go of control doesn’t mean drifting aimlessly. On the contrary, the more we know where we want to go, the more we can allow ourselves to enjoy the journey and the process. Unexpected things happen at every moment, and the question to ask ourselves is: How do we face the unexpected?

Earth invites us to be present, to perceive the magic of each moment, rather than jumping from one thought to another with an agitated mind thinking about everything that needs to be done.

It’s important to be aware of where we want to go and to identify the small steps needed to move in that direction—yet we don’t always need to plan everything. Sometimes it’s beautiful to “launch” something and allow things to unfold naturally. Only by learning to navigate with faith can we experience synchronicity and allow natural evolution.

Moon

The Moon invites us to tend to our deepest emotions, to recall them, and then purify them.

Earth records all the memories of people’s minds, and purifying ours of trauma and heavy, low energies also means purifying the Earth. This is why there is a strong connection between Earth and the Moon, which astronomically is its satellite.

Storm

The Storm has the power to transform the energies we have become aware of into their opposite. The key is not to push away our negative emotions—for example, fear—but to transform them into their opposite: courage.

Seed

This symbol leads us to focus on the small movements we are making, on what we are sowing now and what will sprout in the future. It invites us to ask: What steps am I taking toward my personal or spiritual evolution?

Human

The Human invites us to become aware of our personal power. Since we have free will, we are called to make daily choices that have immediate or future consequences. We must therefore train our discernment in order to move through life responsibly, for ourselves and for others.

Warrior

This energy invites us to stand firmly and courageously in our truths and beliefs. In my understanding, it is strongly connected to the Solar Plexus chakra, because it is the force that helps us set healthy boundaries and say “no”.

Dragon

The Dragon represents strong maternal energy, birth, and nourishment—symbolically speaking. It refers to giving birth to new ideas and nurturing our Essence through everything that feeds us: food, books, films, experiences, and relationships.

Hand

This is the most challenging force, it allows us to go straight to the root of our suffering in order to heal it.

Mirror

The Mirror is the sign that invites us to put our life in order, starting from our physical and mental spaces. Practically, this can be achieved through small actions: tidying up our desk, bookshelf, or closet, keeping only what we love and what is useful.

Snake

This symbol represents the connection with the body and with a powerful energy we have: sexual energy. It invites us to ask: How am I using my sexual energy? In a way that nourishes me, or in a way that degrades me and lowers my vibration?

Eagle

The Eagle is the symbol of the mind, and for this reason it often challenges the Serpent’s energy.

The Eagle allows us to activate an elevated perspective on our processes, to observe our behaviors and emotions with enough distance to avoid identifying with them.

Wind

A symbol connected with the communication of our true spirit. In my understanding, besides being closely linked to meditation, its function resembles that of the throat chakra.

Magician

It grounds us in the here and now, manifesting the intersection between our Consciousness (Time) and our Mind (Space)—which we can visualize as a Cartesian axis.

Dog

This energy connects us to the unconditional love we feel toward others and gives us the possibility to express it. In my understanding, it is strongly connected to the heart chakra.

Night

Night reminds us of the importance of abundance: instead of anchoring ourselves to a frequency of scarcity, only by feeling abundant and grateful for what we have can we manifest our dreams and follow our intuition.

Star

We all need creative expression, and this leads us to reconnect with our inner child. In fact, there is a connection between the Star symbol and the Monkey, which represents “the child” and magic.

Monkey

The purpose of this symbol is to teach us to recognize illusions and to reveal situations in which we are or have been naive.

Worldbridger

This is a fundamental force that invites us to let old processes die so that new opportunities may arise. It also helps us give a deeper and less gloomy meaning to death, seeing it as complementary to Life.

Skywalker

It walks hand in hand with the Worldbridger: after the death of the old, new spaces and paths can now be explored, always with a vigilant attitude.

Some frequencies:

Lunar

When a symbol has this frequency, it represents a challenge or difficulty; at the same time, it becomes our greatest strength—a kind of Key for our life.

Integrity

This frequency teaches us to align our ideas and intentions with corresponding behavior.

Some steps I have taken in this direction include actions for environmental protection, such as eliminating animal and industrial products from my diet, or buying second-hand clothing.

When we are in integrity, there is no need to speak—our actions speak for us.

Resonant

This frequency invites us to pay attention to the energies coming from others and to understand which parts of us they resonate with. This helps us understand whom to connect with and from whom to maintain distance.

Harmonic

This frequency reminds us of the importance of connecting with our Center in order to set our intentions—it is from there that our energy radiates outward.

It invites us to turn our attention inward and become aware of our thoughts and emotions, instead of focusing outward on what distracts us from our personal power.

Spectral

A force that helps us release blocked energy that prevents our evolution or the achievement of our goals.

Self-Existing

A frequency that indicates an energy of manifestation, realization, and giving form to our purpose.

Most people experience their time as a succession of unpleasant moments, burdensome commitments, and obligatory tasks—hoping they pass as quickly as possible. In my view, the faster time seems to pass, the more superficially and less consciously we are living it. The calendar currently used by most Western civilizations presents days without distinction, as if they were all the same. In this way, the deep symbolic meaning underlying each day or time cycle is lost. The 13-moon Synchrometer offers itself as a guide in discovering the value of each of our days, helping us tune daily into our internal cyclical processes.

Thank you for reading.
