Welcome

I have a master's degree in Political Science and International Relations. Specifically, I specialize in decolonial studies and the regional areas of the Middle East, North Africa, and Latin America. I plan to continue my professional growth, with the same passion that has always distinguished me.

I'm passionate about languages and speak fluent English, French, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese, but I've also studied Arabic. The wonder of learning a new language is the ability to access new worldviews, as well as getting to know new people on a deeper level.

Why did I choose to write a blog? I felt the need to share with more people my perspective on the world, born from the integration of my studies and firsthand experience. I wanted to share with the world what I have learned and continue to learn because I would like the phenomena of our social, political, and international reality to be understood more clearly and filtered through a sharp and well-trained critical sense.

I understood that what we know about reality derives from specific worldviews (Weltanschauung in Weberian terms) that constitute dominant narratives during particular historical periods.

Let's ask ourselves some questions: Are Muslim women truly oppressed just because they wear the veil? Why is heterosexuality considered normal? Why do we only study European philosophers in school and not African ones? Have we always had a dualistic vision of the world in which science and spirituality, humanity and nature, were completely separate? What tools and processes were used to naturalize the female gender during the patriarchal era?

I'm interested in thoroughly dissecting when, how, and why these beliefs, which have taken on such naturalistic forms, originated. These beliefs aren't limited to the realm of ideas, but manifest themselves in all their materiality, negatively impacting the lives of all of us. So, why not try adopting a different perspective if this action can, even in a small way, contribute to improving someone's life?

What else can I tell you about myself? I can't live without reading a good book. I love films by Quentin Tarantino, Gaspar Noé, David Lynch, and Wong Kar-Wai, but my all-time favorite film as a child and teenager was always "The Parent Trap" (I've seen it about fifty times).

I try to live my life as if it were a movie and, even if I find it difficult for now, one of my dreams is to direct a film!

Finally, I studied and lived for four months in France, two in Tunisia, six in Brazil, and seven in Bulgaria. I currently live in Barcelona, which is the place that most reminds me of my hometown: Naples.

Good luck!

Feel free to reach out to me.
